A truck is a vehicle intended for transporting goods and is identified by the international category N. However, a passenger car, normally intended for primarily transporting people, can also be recognized as a truck if appropriately transformed, provided that the parameters established by current community and national regulations are met.
In Italy, a truck derived from a passenger car allows subjects with a VAT number to access tax benefits if the ratio between power (kW) and payload (T) is less than 180. In this case, and with appropriate use, the truck can be considered a “business asset”.
